Skyvarg is an AI-powered flight analysis tool for paragliding pilots. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Skyvarg is operated by Pawel Bedynski, based in Warsaw, Poland. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at [email protected]. The relevant data protection authority is the Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO).
What data we collect
- Account data — your email address and a securely hashed password. We don't store your password in plain text.
- Flight data — when you upload an IGC file, we store the GPS track, altitude, timestamps, glider type, and takeoff site. We use this to generate your flight analysis and AI debrief.
- AI debriefs — the coaching text generated by our AI for your flights.
- Feedback — if you rate or comment on AI insights, we store that feedback.
- Session token — we store a JWT session token in your browser's localStorage to keep you signed in. No tracking cookies are used.
Why we collect it
- To provide the service — flight analysis, AI debriefs, and the 3D viewer require processing your flight data.
- To improve the AI — only with your explicit opt-in consent, we may use anonymised flight data to train and improve our analysis models. You can opt in or out at any time.
AI training data
During signup, you can choose whether to allow your flight data to be used for AI model improvement. This is entirely optional and does not affect your access to any features. If you opt in, your flight data is anonymised (pilot names and identifying metadata are stripped) before being used for training purposes. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us.
How we process your flights
When you upload a flight, your GPS track, altitude, timestamps, and glider type are sent to a third-party AI service to generate your debrief. Pilot names and email addresses are never shared with this provider.
Third-party services
We use a third-party email service to send account verification emails. Only your email address is shared for this purpose. We do not sell or share your data with any other third parties.
Data retention
Your account data and flight data are kept until you request deletion. There is no automatic expiry. AI training data (if you opted in) is kept indefinitely but can be withdrawn.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access — export all your data at any time from your account.
- Deletion — delete your account and all associated data.
- Rectification — edit your flight metadata (glider, takeoff site) at any time.
- Portability — download your data in a standard format.
- Withdraw consent — opt out of AI training data collection at any time.
- Lodge a complaint — with the UODO or your local data protection authority if you believe your rights are not being respected.
Cookies and localStorage
Skyvarg does not use cookies. We store a session token in your browser's localStorage to keep you signed in. This is essential for the service to function and does not track you across websites. No analytics or advertising trackers are used.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
